We are estatic about our newest and most heartfelt project.
National Homeless Person's Memorial Day is this coming Friday, December 21, 2007. There will be a press conference at 12:00 at the Hyannis Federated Church, a mock camp site will be set up on the church lawn where many non-homeless people will sleep outside for the night, and at 5:30 PM there will be a service at the Hyannis Town Green to honor those members of the homeless community who have passed on into God's loving arms over the last year.
Our part in the rememberance of the day is a Mural project. We brought two homeless artists into the basement of Faith House for the last two months, gave them the materials they needed and the mural panels that were produced are amazing. If you do not live on the Cape, please check out this amazing art work and remember in your minds eye that each piece of this art was done on a 4'x8' sheet. We have 64' of some of the most amazing artwork that has been seen. The passion for the projcet that these two artist display is extrodinary.
I have not had much time to update the financials page as of recently, but will be working on that update in the next couple of weeks. Also look for pictures of a Faith House Christmas at the same time.
May your holidays be filled with cheer and your New Year be a blessed one.

We are gearing up for three fundraisers in the next few months. The first of which will be on Memorial Day weekend. We are holding a huge yard sale over the four day weekend. Donations of items are needed, as are thrifty shoppers looking for a great deal to help a great cause. We will also be holding a raffle for tickets on the scenic rail and Alberto's gift certificates.
The next fundraiser we are working on is the "Housing with Love" walk. We are in desperate need of sponsorship for this walk. The walk is 107 miles long, starting in Provincetown and ending in Falmouth 7 days later. The walk runs from July 14th thru July 20th, but sponsorship commitments must be in no later than May 31st. Please call the office or send us an email for further details.

September 12, 2008-Summer is over and what a summer it has been here at Homeless not Hopeless, Inc. In a couple of weeks, we will have offically ended our first year. To that end, you can now find our full 2007-2008 annual report as was given to our board of directors on September 7th, 2008. This board meeting also brought about much change in the organzation. Mark has resigned his position as President/CEO and Mary Ann has resigned her position as Executive Director, though is retaining her position as Vice President and CFO. Bill Bishop, our Director of Outreach Services has accepted the position as President/CEO, Alan Burt has accepted the position as Executive Director and Richard Murphy has accepted the position of proxy for Mary Ann if she is unable to return to the cape for board meetings.
This board meeting also brought about the seating of our secondary, directive, board. Those occupying seats on this board are Richard Murphy, Susan Mahaffey, Dawn Burt, David Baird, Everett (Gene) Gonyer, Monica Diogo and Jacquline Ross. Their duties will include looking at any future expansions and changes to the current program.
Mark and Mary Ann will be relocating to the Charlotte, NC area and it is their intention to dive in to find where services are lacking for the homeless community and where Homeless not Hopeless, Inc. can best fill those gaps.
