Homeless Not Hopeless is proud to announce the signing of a purchase and sales agreement to acquire a new property at 261 South Street in Hyannis, a significant step forward in our mission to provide safe, supportive housing for individuals experiencing homelessness.Following planned renovations, the property will create housing for 16 individuals, offering not only a roof over their heads, but also the stability, dignity, and support needed to rebuild their lives and move toward long-term independence. This exciting milestone would not have been possible without the extraordinary generosity of our supporters. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, contributed to, sponsored, volunteered for, and championed our recent Oyster Harbors fundraiser. The overwhelming outpouring of support demonstrated the power of a community coming together around a shared belief: that every person deserves a safe place to call home. All the funds raised at the event played an important role in making this acquisition possible and they will continue to help support the renovations needed to transform the property into a welcoming and functional residence. Every ticket purchased, auction bid placed, sponsorship secured, and donation made is helping turn an empty building into a place of hope and opportunity. At a time when affordable housing and homelessness continue to challenge communities across Cape Cod, this project represents more than the addition of 16 beds. It represents 16 opportunities for someone to regain stability, reconnect with services, pursue employment, and envision a brighter future. As we begin the renovation process, we look forward to sharing updates on the progress of 261 South Street and the lives that will be changed because of your support. Together, we are proving that homelessness is not the end of someone’s story. With compassion, partnership, and community support, hope continues to grow one home, one person, and one success story at a time.
Thank you for believing in our mission and helping us build a stronger, more hopeful future for our neighbors in need.
